DUBAI: Flydubai will start double daily flights to Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok, on November 29, the discount carrier announced on Monday.

Chief executive Ghaith Al Ghaith said the launch would be an “important milestone” for the airline.

Flydubai will compete with its sister airline Emirates on the route, who fly two Bangkok five times a day, including three daily Airbus A380 flights.

Flydubai said airfares will start at Dh1,499, about Dh800 cheaper than the lowest Emirates fare on November 29, according to the airlines website.
