Flights at Dubai Airport delayed

Dubai: Several flights at the Dubai Airport were delayed for at least an hour early on Friday, passengers told Gulf News.

At least 20 Emirates flight were waiting to take off by 3:30am and passengers who have managed to board flights have been sitting inside the planes for more than 90 minutes, the passengers said.

When contacted by Gulf News, Emirates said the delays were due to "operational reasons".

The company would not confirm how many flights were delayed.
