Dubai: Etihad Airways launched its daily EY 171 service between Abu Dhabi and Los Angeles on Sunday, according to a company statement.

Los Angeles is the airline’s fourth US destination, alongside Chicago, New York and Washington D.C.

Etihad Airways’ network is set to expand further on December 3 with the addition of direct flights to Dallas-Fort Worth.

A three-cabin, long-range Airbus 340-500 aircraft will initially serve the Los Angeles route. It can accommodate 240 guests with 12 First Class suites, 28 Business Class seats and 200 Economy Class seats.

By mid-July, the service will transition to a three-cabin, long-range Boeing 777-200 LR, which will have 237 seats, including eight First Class suites, 40 Business Class flatbed seats and 189 Economy Class seats.
