Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways said on Thursday it is expanding its flight training centre, with the construction of a $15.3 million extension at the airline’s Abu Dhabi headquarters. The new 5,300 sq. metre facility will house six flight simulator training bays, classrooms for pilot and cabin crew training, pilots’ briefing and debriefing rooms, a new pilots’ lounge and offices, Etihad said in a statement, adding that the facility is scheduled for completion in November 2013.
