Dubai: Emirates entered into a two-year partnership on Thursday with MCI, a business event organiser, that will see Emirates become the official airline of MCI’s large and international events. The two companies announced the global alliance in an emailed statement from Emirates. MCI will become Emirates’ preferred Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) under the agreement.

Emirates said the partnership will help the airline build a strong MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibition) commercial brand with regular business travellers. It added that the partnership agreement between Emirates and MCI will last for two years.

“The MICE segment is rapidly growing and we are always looking to connect our customers to what matters to them …. Our partnership with MCI will allow us to work even more effectively on the complex requirements of the meetings industry making corporate travel more convenient and affordable for our customers,” stated Thierry Antinori, Emirates airline Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer.

An independent, privately held company with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, MCI has 1,800 professionals in 60 cities and 31 countries with clients across Europe, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa.
