Dubai: Emirates opened “SkyPharma,” a dedicated cool storage facility for pharmaceutical goods, at Dubai International on Sunday.
The 4,000 square meter facility was opened by Emirates airline and Group chief executive and chairman Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, UAE Minister of Health Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Dubai Health Authority chairman and director general Humaid Mohammad Obaid Al Qatami and Emirates SkyCargo divisional senior Vice President Nabil Sultan.
The facility is part of a wider Dh600 million, 11,000 square metre extension of Emirates SkyCentral at the airport.
