Dubai: Emirates increased capacity on the Dubai-Los Angeles route this week by replacing the Boeing 777-200LR that was operating the route with an Airbus A380-800.

The introduction of the A380 service increases capacity to 489 seats compared to up to 266 onboard the Boeing 777. It also means that Emirates now flies the longest A380 route in operation. The A380 EK 215 flight will operate daily, departing Dubai at 8:20am.
