Emirates is getting ready for one of its busiest travel periods of the year this weekend with many travellers heading overseas for the spring break, the airline said in a press release on Tuesday.

Passenger traffic is expected to be high across the weekend from Thursday March 26 until Sunday March 29, the airline said, with passenger numbers set to peak on Friday March 27.

In a bid to ease congestion at the airport this weekend, Emirates has called on passengers to arrive “at least three hours before flight departure.”

Emirates, the world’s largest airline by international capacity, operates out of the world’s busiest airport for international passenger traffic, Dubai International.
