Dubai: -- Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways have resumed flights to Europe’s third-largest airport Istanbul Ataturk, a day after Turkish officials closed it following Tuesday night’s terror attacks.

Three suicide bombers opened fire and blew themselves up at the airport’s international terminal on Tuesday in an attack the Turkish government has blamed on terror group Daesh.

The Middle East’s three major airlines Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways resumed daily services to the airport on Thursday having cancelled services the previous day.

Spokespersons at Emirates and Etihad confirmed the airline’s had resumed services. Qatar Airways’ website showed its daily flight to Ataturk as running on schedule.
