Dubai: Dubai Parks and Resorts, a subsidiary of Meraas Holding, said on Sunday it has signed an agreement with Emirates Airline to exchange marketing “knowledge and expertise”.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covers marketing co-ordination and destination knowledge and expertise, Dubai Parks and Resorts said in a statement.

“We are committed to reciprocal learning and this alliance will offer us the opportunity to tap into the in-house expertise of The Emirates Group. We will work together to share ideas and resources to maximise our potential. Together, we will take Brand Dubai to the world,” Raed Al Nuaimi, chief executive of Dubai Parks and Resorts, said.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Al Nuaimi and Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

Antinori said the agreement “will enhance Dubai’s attraction with the addition of even more world-class entertainment options for visitors and residents alike.”

“The collaboration will further support Dubai Tourism Vision 2020 that seeks to double annual visitor numbers from 10 million to 20 million and increase the economic contribution of the tourism sector to the UAE’s gross domestic product,” the statement read.

Dubai Parks and Resorts is a development of three theme parks in the emirate.
