Dubai: Dubai Airports authority said it has activated contingency plans and deployed extra staff to support additional flight services to European destinations if and as airspace openings are confirmed.

“Airlines will be contacting passengers if and when this occurs,” Dubai Airports said in an e-mailed statement.

“The situation is very dynamic. Given that passengers are being strongly advised not to go to the airport until they have received flight confirmation from their airline. Airlines are updating their websites regularly and are the most reliable source of flight information.”
