Dubai: The Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (Dafza) and the International Centre for Islamic Economy (ICIE), have launched an innovation competition to promote Dubai as a global centre for Islamic economic activities, Dafza said in a statement on Thursday.

The “Innovation Ideas” competition was launched during the Entrepreneurs Forum on Wednesday, to encourage “doing business while promoting entrepreneurship and an innovation culture,” according to the statement.

They say that it will also encourage new entrepreneurs, and support the winners in participating in the Islamic economy.
