Sharjah: Air Arabia will mark its fifth destination into Egypt later this month when it launches its new Sharjah-Cairo route on February 27.

Flights will depart from Sharjah International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1pm, with return flights departing from Cairo on the same day at 4pm local time, the budget carrier said in a statement.

The three times a week schedule will be the Sharjah-based airline’s 90th destination.

Egypt’s tourism industry has suffered from ongoing political protests since the Arab Spring in 2011.
