Air Arabia to launch services to two new routes in Ukraine

Dubai: Sharjah-based budget carrier, Air Arabia, said on Monday it will shortly introduce direct service to two new destinations in Ukraine - to Kharkiv on October 7 and to Donetsk on October 12.

With these launches, the carrier, which already flies to Kiev in Ukraine five times a week, would be flying to 67 destinations worldwide.

While Kharkiv is the country's second-largest city, Donestsk is a major urban centre in eastern Ukraine with a population of 1.5 million, Air Arabia said in a statement.

It added that service to Donestsk will be twice weekly, including flights on Tuesdays and Fridays, Air Arabia will offer service to Kharkiv every Wednesday.

Eight years and over 20 million passengers since Air Arabia pioneered the low-cost airline model in the Middle East and North Africa, we continue to set our sights on entering new markets and further expanding the reach of our service," said Adel Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of  Air Arabia.
