Dubai: Air Arabia will launch thrice weekly flights to the Saudi Arabian city of Yanbu starting on November 1, the Sharjah-based low-cost carrier said yesterday in a statement.

It added that on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays flights will depart Sharjah International Airport at 1pm and arrive at Yanbu Airport at 3.45pm. Return flights will depart Yanbu at 4.25pm and arrive at Sharjah at 8.30pm (local time).

"In July this year, Air Arabia started its flights to Gassim in Saudi Arabia and today [yesterday], we are extremely pleased to introduce our new service between Sharjah and Yanbu, which marks the sixth destination in Saudi Arabia reachable via Air Arabia," A.K. Nizar, Head of the Commercial Department, said in a statement.

He added that in addition to providing non-stop service to six cities in Saudi Arabia, Air Arabia also currently offers a range of value-for-money land arrangements, including hotel accommodation and car assistance.

The Dubai Financial Market-listed Air Arabia currently operates a fleet of 27 new Airbus A320 aircraft, serving 66 destinations from three hubs in the UAE, Morocco and Egypt.
