Dubai: Adverse weather conditions, including a morning sandstorm, cancelled the flying show at the Dubai Airshow on Wednesday.

Shortly after 2:15pm, an announcement was made at the Dubai Airshow that the flying show would not go head due to the weather conditions. The show, which was to commence with the United Arab Emirates’ Al Fursan team, was scheduled to start at 2:00pm.

The cancellation of Wednesday’s flying show meant that the Skyview grandstand was closed. Skyview is the only on-site area that is accessible to the public as the Dubai Airshow is a trade-only event.

Skyview ticketholders for Wednesday will be able to use their tickets on Thursday, the last day of show, or request a refund by email, according to www.skyview.aero.
