Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, opened the third annual Abu Dhabi Air Expo at Al Bateen Executive Airport on Tuesday.

Abu Dhabi Air Expo is an executive business jet trade show that brings together a mix of local and international airlines, manufacturers and other related industries.

More than 17,000 visitors are expected to pass through 175 exhibitions at this year’s event and there will be more than 100 aircraft on display.

Last year, the Abu Dhabi Air Expo attracted 13,500 visitors. There were 160 exhibitors, 70 aircraft on display and Dh5 billion of deals signed.

Major Gulf carriers Etihad Airways, Emirates and Qatar Airways will be present at the show this week along with business jet manufacturers Dassault, Bombardier and Embraer among others.

Abu Dhabi Air Expo runs until Thursday February 27.
