Ajman: His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, presented certificates to outstanding students and graduates of Gulf Medical University (GMU) in Ajman.
During the graduation ceremony held on Wednesday for the 14th batch of GMU students, Shaikh Humaid said that he is proud of GMU’s graduates, and pointed out that Emirati graduates in particular are a source of pride for the nation. He urged them to strive for higher education in various specialised fields so that more students can eventually contribute to different medical specialisations.
Shaikh Humaid hailed the leading role played by public and private education and health-care institutions in serving students, providing them with opportunities so they can gain practical experience by practising the profession in different hospitals across the UAE.
Shaikh Humaid reaffirmed his support for all hardworking students, and said that he will spare no effort in providing scholarship opportunities for outstanding students in coordination with the Ministries of Higher Education and Health and Prevention.
The Ajman Ruler urged the graduates to continue working hard in order to achieve their personal and national aspirations.
Shaikh Humaid hailed the UAE’s wise leadership for ensuring the availability of all prerequisites that can help create citizens that are capable of serving their nation.
During the ceremony, Thumbay Moideen, founder and president of GMU, expressed his thanks to the UAE leadership for their continued support since the university’s establishment. He also praised the efforts of the Ministries of Health and Prevention and Higher Education in encouraging and supporting GMU’s academic and training programmes.
