Abu Dhabi: The emergency and crisis management team in the emirate of Abu Dhabi announced on Tuesday that it had spotted a group of quails infected with the bird flu in a limited area in the Western Region.

The team had taken the necessary measures consistent with the international standards and regulations in handing such cases.

The team said that in co-ordination with other stakeholders, precautionary measures had also been taken to ensure continuous monitoring of these cases.

The team called on bird and farm owners to contact the Abu Dhabi Government Call Centre on the phone number 800555 to learn about tests on their birds, if they have any suspicions about the health conditions of their bird.

The team affirmed that these precautionary measures aim to ensure their safety and the safety of the community.
