The court heard that the Sharjah Police guards — identified as A.B.S. and M.R.M. — were attacked by a group of seven people while trying to escape from the centre. The juveniles violently attacked the police guards and damaged windows, doors and furniture of the centre for boys in Sharjah. The suspects were charged with causing permanent disability to the two guards and damaging property.

Both the guards were hospitalised following the incident.

The incident happened in June when the delinquents escaped from a government-run rehabilitation centre.

The police managed to arrest all of them.
