31 vehicles impounded, more than 800 traffic fines in Global Village area

Violations in November include not giving way to pedestrians and driving recklessly

Dubai: Dubai Traffic Police impounded 31 vehicles and issued 831 fines in Global Village area during November, it was announced on Wednesday.

Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Dubai Traffic Police said, that it is unfortunate that drivers commit traffic violation and misconducts in a family area, meant for fun and enjoyment.

Traffic Police patrols in the Global Village area caught many violators involved in wrongful overtaking, failure to abide by lane discipline, not giving way to pedestrians, not renewing the vehicle’s registration and driving recklessly.

Col Al Mazroui urged the public to abide by traffic rules to avoid unnecessary accidents and fines.
