Al Ain: Thousands of spectators thronged the 10th edition of the Al Ain Aerobatic Show when it opened its gates on Saturday, with the daredevil stunts of aerobatic pilots in solo and team formations.
The three-day show, which coincides with the UAE’s 42nd National Day celebrations, has a line-up of four elite military teams and seven pilots from three continents.
Al Fursan, the UAE aerobatic team, also performed for the first time at the show organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi).
The Al Ain Aerobatics Show will be held from November 30 to December 2 at the Al Ain International Airport.
The show, organised in conjunction with the UAE Air Force, is a tribute to the rich Emirati culture and heritage. It will feature a series of UAE-themed aerial displays and static attractions, performances and activities, according to the organisers.
The show will also feature stilt walkers, jugglers, face painters, pilot bear and pit-lane walk-throughs, busker signing performances, balloon and swing rides, meet-the-pilot signing sessions and hot air balloon rides that are poised to deliver a weekend experience that makes the aero-show a fabulous family getaway, organisers said.
