Dubai: The Eid Al Adha holiday for the private sector in UAE will be from Monday, August 20, to Wednesday, August 22, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Tuesday.
Update: Banks in the UAE will be closed for Eid Al Adha from Monday, August 20, to Thursday, August, 23. Work will resume on Saturday, August 25, according to a circular issued by the UAE Central Bank.
The public sector will have a one-week holiday for Eid Al Adha from Sunday, August 19, to Thursday, August 23. Work will resume on Sunday, August 26.
The holiday was declared in line with the directives of the UAE Cabinet, according to official news agency WAM.
It also includes Arafat day, which occurs the day before the start of Eid Al Adha.
The Saudi Supreme Court declared on Saturday that Eid Al Adha will fall on Tuesday, August 21.
