His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the reshuffled UAE Cabinet on Thursday.
Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama
Among the new cabinet reshuffle was the addition of a new Ministry- Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, and the launch on the UAE Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy. The new ministry will be led by 27 year-old Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, who was appointed as Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence. Al Olama was previously the Director of the World Government Summit Organisation, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a diploma in project management and excellence.
Sara Al Amiri
Sara Al Amiri has served at Emirates Mars Mission Science Team Leader at the Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Centre and as Chairperson of the UAE Council of Scientists.
She was also the former director for the Department of Research and Development at Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology.

Mariam Al Muhairi
Mariam Al Muhairi served as the Assistant Undersecretary for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change.
She began her career soon after graduating from one of Europe’s leading engineering universities, with specialisation in ‘Development and Design Engineering.’ She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Rhenish-Westphalian Technical University (RWTH) in Aachen, Germany.
Al Muhairi has gained prominence in the field of Environmental Engineering through her professional experience of over 10 years working with well-known organisations in the UAE and Germany.
She began her professional journey with the UAE Ministry of Environment and Water, where she was appointed as an Expert to supervise its largest projects. She was involved in the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Centre for Marine Research in Umm Al Quwain, an initiative by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the UAE-wide Integrated Waste Management Project to convert waste into energy and the construction of the Ministry’s new building. She also oversaw the establishment and development of the Project Management Office within the Ministry’s premises as well as the construction of the Central Laboratories in Sharjah.
Al Muhairi has paid great attention to the issue of groundwater depletion in the UAE, recognizing the urgent need to find innovative and sustainable environmental solutions to boost fresh water supply. The young engineer, who was following up on the technology to ‘draw water from humid air’ and worked on the technical development in accordance with the country’s climate.
In 2014, she was appointed to the position of Director of Education and Awareness Department, where she helped in developing the national strategy on environmental education and awareness.
During Al Muhairi’s appointment at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, she worked towards the development and formulation of general strategic plans for the Ministry in line with the UAE National Agenda and the directives of the government.
Nasser Bin Thani Al Hameli
Nasser Bin Thani Al Hameli holds a master’s degree in Human Resources from Pennsylvania State University. Al Hameli worked as Assistant Undersecretary for Government Coordination at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. He also conceptualized and launched the Absher Initiative for Promoting the Participation of National Human Resources in the Labour Market.
Zaki Nussaibah
Zaki Nussaibah was born and educated in Jerusalem and graduated from the University of Cambridge with a master’s degree in economics. He began his career in Abu Dhabi as a journalist in 1967, writing for several Arabic and international news agencies and papers. He began translating for Shaikh Zayed in 1968, becoming his personal interpreter, while working at the same time in the Abu Dhabi (later Federal) Department of Information. He moved exclusively to Shaikh Zayed’s court in 1975, becoming at the same time director of his press office.

Hessa Bint Eisa Bu Humaid
Hessa Bint Eisa Bu Humaid oversees Emirates Government Service Excellence Program aiming to raise the efficiency of government service delivery to a 7 stars by focusing on customer centricity and enhancing government efficiency. Hessa worked on some strategic priorities like Global Star Rating Program where centers are classified from two-star to seven-star based on the outcome of the assessment to redefine the concept of service delivery in federal agencies.
She is also overlooking the Service Factory, which trains the entities on designing their services through certain design tools, taking into account the customer experience. Hessa supervises the Customer Satisfaction studies conducted to measure the satisfaction levels amongst federal government customers and assess drivers of and barriers to satisfaction in addition to Mystery Shopper program which evaluates the quality of service delivery. Khadamati is another system supervised by Hessa which works as the gateway for federal government entities to access all federal government services.
