Stunt driver arrested in Ras Al Khaimah
Motorist was performing stunts and exposing others to danger
Ras Al Khaimah: Police have arrested a 22-year-old Emirati motorist for reckless driving and exposing others to danger in Al Rams area in Ras Al Khaimah.
The Emirati was arrested after police received complaints from residents saying that the motorist was driving recklessly and causing a disturbance in the neighbourhood, said Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Mohammad Al Muttar, Director of Al Rams Police station.
The suspectsallegedly performed dangerous stunts at the entrance of Al Rams area to attract attention.
Within one hour of receiving the complaint, police were able to identify the suspect and arrest him. Police also seized his car.
The Emirati has been charged with reckless driving and putting other people's lives in danger.
Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Al Muttar said that the police patrols have already been deployed on roads to avoid such incidents and that police will intensify their presence in the emirate.
