Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, attended on Monday on the sidelines of Gitex Technology Week 2017, the signing of an agreement between etisalat and Dubai Municipality.
As per the agreement, etisalat will offer IT, telecommunication and digital services for the Dubai Safari Park project. Etisalat will also provide smart solutions such as a mobile application, e-portal and digital infrastructure and technology services.
The services will allow customers to buy tickets through the website. The smart ticket system will allow customers to buy tickets for the Safari Park tour bus, as well as access to other services.
The agreement was signed by Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, and Saleh Al Abdouli, CEO of etisalat.
Lootah said that the municipality is committed to making Dubai the smartest and happiest city in the world. He pointed out that this strategic partnership would help propel the efforts of all government bodies towards achieving this vision.
For his part, Al Abdouli said: “Our partnership with Dubai Municipality complements etisalat’s commitment to support long-term national strategies. Through our participation in Gitex 2017, we hope to showcase our capabilities in offering a host of digital solutions and smart experiences for the future.”
