Current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov had a face-off with former UFC champion Conor McGregor on Sunday, October 7 and it ended in absolute chaos. Social media users cheered Nurmagomedov after his victory as well as posted cretaive and quarky memes about the match.

Indian comedian accused of sexual harassment
Indian comedian and YouTuber Utsav Chakraborty was accused of sending sexually explicit images to minor girls and women on Twitter. It started after Chakraborty spoke out against some men’s behaviour on a cruise, tweeps were quick to call him a “hypocrite” and shared instances of receiving inappropriate messages from Chakraborty.

Save the youth
Youth organisations across India held a rally in New Delhi to protest against rising rates of youth unemployment in the country along with other issues like rising fuel prices and farmer deaths. On Twitter, #DeshBachaoYuvaBachao [Save the country, save the youth] was one of the top trends in India, with users sharing information on the rally and encouraging others to join.
