Would your little one fancy a birthday with otters? Then Dubai Aquarium at the Dubai Mall makes for a perfect place. They can also feed the fish at the underwater observation deck.

Al Manara Fire station

Birthdays by the beach, on ice or at a poolside are all fine, but have you heard of a children’s party at a fire station involving real firemen driving real fire engines – all for free? Not possible you might say, but a Dubai Civil Defence station has indeed been making it possible for kids. If you have been scouting the city for an out-of-the ordinary venue for your child’s next big bash or worried about spending a fortune over it, this is the place to go to. The only catch though for getting a birthday bash organised at Al Manara Fire Station is that every little guest must attend a safety drill.

Price: Dh1,200 onwards

Nostalgia Classic Cars

If money is not an issue, you may want to consider this classic car showroon in Al Serkal Avenue. From a 1973 Rolls Royce Corniche to a 1971 E-type Jaguar class, this place has a wonderful collection of vintage cars. The premises of Nostalgia Classic Cars is divided into two areas. The first area spans over 1,000 square metres and functions as a gallery that can be used for themed exhibitions or parties. The second, equally big section, serves as a full time showroom where classic cars are on display.
