Dubai: In the bustling markets of Sahiwal, a district in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, a local food vendor has captured widespread attention for his striking resemblance to US President-elect Donald Trump.

Saleem Bagga, 53, whom locals affectionately call ‘Trump,’ has turned his unique appearance into a business advantage, selling traditional kheer (pudding) while entertaining passersby with songs, Reuters reported.

Bagga's resemblance to Trump stems from his distinctive blond quiff, a result of his albinism. Clad in a beige shalwar kameez and a black jacket to ward off the winter chill, he pushes his vibrant wooden cart through the streets of Sahiwal, singing a Punjabi tune to attract customers. "Now you come down to me, my love, don't delay; my eyes are tired of waiting," he croons, captivating onlookers.

"We feel as if Trump has come here to sell kheer," said Mohammad Yaseen, a regular customer. Bagga’s sweet dessert and charming antics have made him a local celebrity. "His kheer is really delicious," added another patron, Ashraf. "We take selfies with him and share them with friends, saying we’ve met Trump."

Bagga remains unfazed by the cameras and attention. "My face resembles Donald Trump; that’s why people take selfies with me," he told Reuters with a smile. Inviting the former president to Pakistan, he quipped, "Trump sahib, you’ve won the election; now visit here and try my kheer. You’ll love it."
