Iran says Israel strike killed Guards intelligence chief

An Israeli strike on Sunday killed the intelligence chief of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Mohammed Kazemi, along with two other officers, the official IRNA news agency reported.

"Three intelligence generals, Mohammad Kazemi, Hassan Mohaghegh and Mohsen Bagheri were assassinated and fell as martyrs," the agency said, citing a Revolutionary Guards statement.

Iran warns of 'devastating response' to Israel attacks

A senior Iranian military official on Sunday warned of a "devastating response" to Israel attacks on the Islamic republic, adding that Israel would not be habitable as a result.

"The scale of the devastating response by Iran's brave fighters will certainly encompass all parts of the occupied territories (Israel)," said Colonel Reza Sayyad, a spokesman for the armed forces.

"Leave the occupied territories because they will certainly no longer be habitable in the future," and shelters will "not guarantee security", he added in an address broadcast on state television.

'Deliberate' strike on foreign ministry building

Iran on Sunday accused Israel of deliberately targeting a foreign ministry building in Tehran, saying the "ruthless" strike wounded several civilians.

"The criminal regime of Israel launched a deliberate and ruthless strike on one of the buildings of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs," deputy foreign minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a post on X alongside a video showing blown-out windows and debris littering the floors. "Several civilians were injured in the attack."

Israel says several sites hit after Iran missile strikes

Israel's military said several sites were hit by the latest Iranian missile barrage on Sunday, with firefighters reporting a residential building struck on the country's Mediterranean coast.

"Homefront Command Search and Rescue teams have been dispatched to several hit sites in Israel, following the latest barrage from Iran," the military said in a statement shortly after telling the public they could leave protected shelters. The fire services, meanwhile, said rescuers were heading to building on the coast that sustained a "direct hit".

Sirens and booms heard in Jerusalem

Air raid sirens and booms rang out in Jerusalem while missiles flew across the sky on Sunday evening, AFP journalists said, as Israel and Iran exchanged fire for a third day.

"Sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the identification of missiles launched from Iran toward the State of Israel," the military said in a statement.

Israel destroys Natanz main facility

Israeli forces have destroyed the principle uranium enrichment facility of Iran's Natanz nuclear site, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, as the Middle Eastern arch-foes intensify their confrontation.

"We've destroyed the main facility in Natanz. That's the main enrichment facility," Netanyahu told US network Fox News, two days after the United Nations nuclear watchdog said a key aboveground component of Natanz where Iran was producing uranium enriched up to 60 percent had been destroyed.

Israel says striking dozens of missiles in west Iran

Israel's military said Sunday it began striking dozens of surface-to-surface missile targets in Iran's west, as the two arch-enemies traded heavy blows for a third day.

"The (air force) began a series of strikes on dozens of surface-to-surface missile targets in western Iran," the military said in a statement.

At least five people were killed Sunday when an Israeli strike hit a residential building in downtown Tehran, state television in Iran reported.

"A residential building was targeted in the centre of Tehran, killing five people," the broadcaster said, adding the death toll may rise as the strike hit a densely populated area in central Tehran.

Israel says air force struck Iran's Mashhad airport

Israel's military said its air force struck Mashhad airport in Iran's northeast on Sunday, the latest move in what it calls an offensive against the Islamic republic's military and nuclear sites.

"A short while ago, the IAF (Israeli Air Force) struck an Iranian aerial refuelling aircraft at Mashhad airport in eastern Iran, approximately 2,300 kilometers (1,430) from Israel", adding it was "the longest-range strike conducted since the beginning of the operation" that began Friday.

Macron hopes Iran-Israeli conflict will 'calm'

French President Emmanuel Macron said Sunday he hoped for a return to calm "in the coming hours" in the Iran-Israel conflict and called for a resumption of nuclear talks with Iran.

"I hope that the coming hours will bring calm and a road forward for discussion, to avoid any escalation of nuclear capabilities, acquisition of nuclear capacities in Iran, and to prevent any unrest in the region," Macron said while on a visit to Greenland.

The French president reiterated his call for negotiations on Iran's nuclear programme, despite the ongoing conflict.

"Yesterday (Saturday), I was able to speak with the president of Iran, and I called for a discussion among us as soon as possible. This is also what I conveyed in my conversation with (US) President (Donald) Trump, who shares this vision," Macron said.

"We will have the opportunity, in a few hours, to revisit this matter with G7 leaders" who are meeting from Sunday to Tuesday in Canada, he added.

US could get involved in Iran-Israel conflict

President Donald Trump told a news network Sunday it remains possible the United States will become involved in the Iran-Israel conflict and that he would be "open" to Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin being a mediator.

"It's possible we could get involved" in the ongoing battle between the Middle East arch-foes, Trump said in an interview, according to ABC News which said the Republican president stressed that the United States is "not at this moment" involved in the military action.

As for Putin being a potential mediator in the conflict, "he is ready. He called me about it. We had a long talk about it," Trump told an ABC News reporter.

Trump calls on Iran and Israel to 'make a deal'

US President Donald Trump on Sunday urged Iran and Israel to "make a deal" and bring their deadly exchange of strikes to an end.

"Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal," Trump said on his Truth Social media platform, adding that there are "many calls and meetings now taking place" on the issue and that peace could be achieved "soon" between the longtime adversaries.

Israel eases air raid warning

The Israeli military said citizens could leave shelters after being told to take cover during a fresh barrage of Iranian missile attacks on Sunday.

"Following the situational assessment, the Home Front Command published that it is now permitted to leave protected spaces in all areas across the country", the military said in a statement.

Iran launches new wave of attacks on Israel

Tehran police headquarters hit in Israeli attack

Iranian media said an Israeli strike hit the Tehran police headquarters in the city centre on Sunday, as the two foes exchanged fire for a third day. "The Greater Tehran Police Command was hit by one of the enemy's drones," ISNA news agency reported, citing a police statement. It added that the attack caused "minor damage" and injured "a number" of police personnel.

Israel army orders citizens to head to shelter

The Israeli army on Sunday called on citizens to take shelter after detecting new missile launches from Iran toward Israel.

"Sirens sounded in several areas across Israel following the identification of missiles from Iran toward the state of Israel," the military said in a statement.

"At this time, the (air force) is operating to intercept and strike where necessary to eliminate the threat," it said, instructing citizens to seek shelter as AFP journalists heard sirens in Jerusalem.

Iran urges Iraq: Block Israel's use of airspace, territory

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Iraq on Sunday to block Israel from using its airspace and territory to launch attacks on the Islamic republic.

"We emphasise that the Iraqi government must exercise greater vigilance and protection of its borders and airspace so that Iraqi territory is not misused against the Islamic Republic of Iran," said Pezeshkian in a call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, according to the Iranian presidency website.

At least 128 people killed in Israel attacks

Iranian media said Sunday that the death toll from Israeli attacks on Friday and Saturday was at least 128, including women and children, reporting hundreds more wounded.

At least "128 people were martyred in these military attacks, and around 900 injured individuals were admitted to" hospitals, said Etemad daily, citing the health ministry.

The report said the deaths include at least "40 women", adding that the "number of martyred children is significant".

Iran media reports blast in central Tehran

Iranian media reported a blast in central Tehran on Sunday, as Israeli kept up its attacks on Iran for a third day.

The Tasnim news agency shared footage of the explosion site, saying it occurred near the central Valiasr Square.

The video showed columns of smoke rising from the area, with debris and shattered glass scattered across the scene. Other media carried similar reports.

Mosques, schools to serve as shelters from Israel attacks

Iran announced that mosques, metro stations and schools would serve as shelters from Sunday evening, as Israel's attacks entered a third day.

"Mosques are among the shelters available to the public, and the metro stations will be prepared tonight to open for use," government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani told state TV, adding that schools were also "safe places" for refuge.

Netanyahu says Iran will pay 'very heavy price'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Iran would pay "a very heavy price" for killing Israeli civilians, as the two foes kept up intense fighting.

"Iran will pay a very heavy price for the premeditated murder of civilians, women and children," Netanyahu said during a visit to the site of a missile strike on a residential building in the coastal city of Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv.

Fresh blasts heard in Iranian capital

Fresh blasts were heard on Sunday in the Iranian capital, an AFP journalist said, as Israeli attacks continued for the third day.

Iranian news outlets Khabar Online and Ham Mihan reported that air defence systems over west and northwest Tehran were activated "to counter new attacks", while Shargh daily shared a video of columns of smoke in the city's east.

Police arrest two suspects linked to Israel's spy agency

Iranian media said that police had arrested two suspects over alleged links to Israel's Mossad spy agency, on the third day of heavy exchange of fire between the two foes.

"Two members of the Mossad terrorist team who were making bombs, explosives, booby traps and electronic equipment were arrested" in Alborz province, west of Tehran, the Tasnim news agency reported, citing a police spokesperson.

Iran media says Israel attacks defence ministry facility in Isfahan

Iranian media said Sunday that Israel attacked a facility affiliated with the defence ministry in the central city of Isfahan, on the third consecutive day of Israeli strikes.

"One of the centres affiliated with the Ministry of Defence in Isfahan was attacked, and possible damages are under investigation," ISNA news agency reported quoting deputy provincial governor Akbar Salehi.

Iran FM accuses UN of 'indifference' over Israel attacks

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi slammed the United Nations Security Council on Sunday, accusing it of "indifference" over Israel's deadly attacks on the Islamic republic. He also rejected any nuclear deal that would compromise Iran’s "rights."

In a meeting with foreign diplomats broadcast on state TV, Araghchi said the Israeli attack "is being met with indifference at the Security Council", adding that Western governments have "condemned Iran instead of Israel despite it being the side that was violated."

Israel says airspace remains closed for third day

Israeli authorities said the country's airspace was closed on Sunday for a third consecutive day, after two nights of deadly missile strikes from Iran in response to Israel's bombardment campaign.

"Due to the security situation and in accordance with the instructions of security authorities, Israeli airspace is currently closed to civilian aviation - no incoming or outgoing flights are operating," said a joint statement from the transport and foreign ministries.

Jordan reopens airspace after overnight Israel-Iran attacks

Jordan announced the reopening of its airspace Sunday morning after a night of attacks by arch-foes Israel and Iran.

The civil aviation authority in Jordan, which borders Israel, said in a statement that the country's airspace had been reopened "for civilian flights following a careful risk assessment".

The kingdom had closed the airspace late Saturday, its second closure since the start of the most intense direct confrontation between Israel and Iran.

Iran FM says has 'solid proof' US forces supported Israel in attacks

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran had evidence to show US forces supported the intense bombardment campaign Israel launched against the Islamis republic this week.

"We have solid proof of the support of the American forces and American bases in the region for the attacks of the Zionist regime military forces," Araghchi told foreign diplomats in a meeting broadcast on state TV.

Israel police recover two bodies, overnight toll at 10 dead

Israel police said that two additional bodies had been pulled from the rubble of a building in central Israel hit by a missile fired overnight from Iran.

"Six people were killed and 180 injured," regional police commander Daniel Hadad told journalists at the site of one missile strike in Bat Yam. Hadad said at least 7 more people were missing, likely under the rubble. An additional four people were killed at a separate site in northern Israel, according to authorities.

Houthis say fired missiles at Israel

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels said they had launched several missiles at Israel as it came under Iranian fire, following a massive Israeli bombardment campaign on the Islamic republic.

The Houthis said in a statement they had "carried out a military operation targeting sensitive targets of the Israeli enemy" in central Israel.

The group, which holds vast swathes of territory in Yemen including the capital Sanaa, said it had targeted the area "at different times over the past 24 hours" with "a number of Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missiles".

The Houthis said their attacks were "coordinated with the operations carried out by the Iranian military".

Trump says if Iran attacks, 'full strength' of US military will 'come down'

Donald Trump warned Iran on Sunday that it would experience "the full strength" of the US military if it attacks the United States, reiterating that Washington "had nothing to do" with Israel's strikes on Tehran's nuclear and intelligence facilities.

"If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before," he said on his Truth Social platform.

He added that "we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!"

Iran launches missile barrage as Israel strikes Tehran

Iranians and Israelis woke to smoke and rubble on Sunday after the arch-rivals expanded their attacks overnight, with Israel striking Tehran's defence ministry, and Iran unleashing a deadly barrage of missiles.

Air raid sirens and explosions were heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv early Sunday, as Israel's military said millions of Israelis were "running for shelter" around the country.

Iranian airspace closure extended

Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation has extended the closure of the country’s airspace until 3:00 PM today (11:30 GMT).

Passengers are advised to avoid visiting airports in person and to check the organisation’s website for the latest updates.

Trump, Putin discuss Middle East tensions

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the escalating crisis between Israel and Iran in a roughly hour-long phone call on Saturday.

In a post on Truth Social, the US president didn't discuss the substance of the conversation beyond saying that Putin "feels, as do I, this war in Israel-Iran should end, to which I explained, his war should also end."

During the call, the Russian leader condemned Israel's military operation against Iran and voiced serious concern over a potential escalation that could have "unpredictable consequences for the entire region," Tass reported, citing Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov.

Trump told Putin he doesn't rule out a return by the US to negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, Ushakov added.

Israeli rescuers say 8 dead, over 130 wounded

Waves of overnight Iranian strikes on Israel killed at least eight people, including children, according to emergency services, after air raid sirens sent millions across the country scrambling into shelters.

In the central region, at least four people, including a 10-year-old boy, were killed and around 100 others wounded in a rocket strike, according to a spokesperson for Magen David Adom (MDA).

In Shfela region, another 37 people were wounded, the spokesperson added.

The Israel Police confirmed in a post on X that a strike along the central coast in Tel Aviv district killed several people and wounded dozens more.

After an earlier strike destroyed a three-storey building in Israel's Western Galilee region late Saturday, MDA said three women were killed.

"Two women were rescued without signs of life, and their deaths were pronounced at the scene," the emergency service said in a statement.

A third woman died at hospital, it said.

Emergency services said an Iranian missile hit a home in the Haifa region on Saturday, killing a woman in her 20s and wounding 14 others. An MDA spokesman told Israeli broadcaster Channel 12 that around 200 people were wounded in overnight missile strikes fired by Iran.

Israel says it's targeted Iran's Defence Ministry headquarters

Israel’s military said early Sunday it targeted Iran’s Defence Ministry headquarters in Tehran. Israel’s military also said it targeted sites it alleged were associated with Iran’s nuclear program around Tehran.

It alleged the sites were “related to the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project.”

Iran targeted Israel warplane fuelling sites

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said early Sunday that the country had struck sites used by Israeli warplanes for refuelling, as the two rival states bombarded each other for a second day.

"Installations producing fuel for fighter planes and the (Israeli) regime's energy supply centres were targeted by a multitude of drones and missiles," the Guards said in a statement.

"The Iranian armed forces' offensive operations will continue more fiercely and more broadly if the depravity and attacks (against Iran) continue."

Escalating conflict between Israel and Iran

On Saturday, Iran launched fresh missile attacks on central Israel, causing significant destruction and casualties in the north. In retaliation, Israel struck Iranian nuclear sites, including the Shahran Oil Depot in Tehran and near the Haifa oil refinery, sparking large fires.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian warned of a “more severe” response if Israel continued its attacks. The violence coincided with the cancellation of planned US-Iran nuclear talks in Oman, as both sides blamed the ongoing hostilities. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu pledged to keep targeting Iranian sites, while Iran threatened further escalation.

The clashes have left several dead in Israel and at least 78 killed in Iran, with damage to critical energy facilities such as the South Pars gas field.
