NAZARETH: Palestinian artist and well known singer Reem Banna died on Saturday of cancer, according to posts on her Facebook page by her friends.
Banna, who was born in Nazareth in 1966, was known for her nationalist songs
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Banna was diagnosed with cancer nine years ago, which forced her to quit singing in 2016.
Her health deteriorated in the last week until she was declared dead at a Nazareth hospital, where she was getting treatment.
