Indian director Ashutosh Gowariker, who is known for his film Jodha Akbar, is back after a three-year hiatus with another ambitious period film staring Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon. Gowariker directed the hit film Lagaan, staring Aamir Khan in 2001, and it went on to becoming India's official entry to the Oscars.

What is the film about? While we do not want to give too much away, but as the title suggests, the film is based on the third battle of Panipat, which was fought between the northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and the invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, in 1761.
