Pakistan extends lock down for 15 days, until May 9

Dubai: Pakistan government has decided th extend their COVID-19 lock down for 15 days, set to end on May 9. The Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, said this when addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday. He said the government made the decision decided to extend the ongoing lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Umar added, media reported, that the government was ensuring all efforts to enhance testing capacity to ascertain the actual number of infected cases.

“If people act irresponsibly and do not follow precautionary measures, then we will be compelled to impose more restrictions by the end of Ramazan,” he warned.
