New Delhi: A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said.
The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), GFZ said.
The quake was also felt in parts of India including its capital New Delhi.
ANI reported that the quake was of a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter Scale and hit Nepal at 2.51 pm on Tuesday, citing the National Centre for Seismology.
ANI posted videos that showed people rushing out of buildings, and of fans and lights swinging following the tremors.
