A tribe of monkeys decided to take over a pool in Mumbai, India, and it is another story of how animals are reclaiming spaces around the world as humans stay indoors due to coronavirus.

In a video posted on Twitter, a group of monkeys were seen taking a swim inside a residential swimming pool and the clip has gone viral.

The video is reportedly from the Borivali suburb of Mumbai shows the animals taking a leisure swim while some of them wait by the poolside, enjoying the sun.

Tweep @PreetiManiar posted the clip with the caption: “The society group chat was debating since two days whether to empty the pool or not since it wasn’t being used anymore. The neighbours came in and put an end to the discussion.”

Many reacted to the cheekiness of the monkeys.

Tweep @etherealspirits wrote: “Thank you for the laughs. I really like the one sneaking up on one monkey and then that monkey pushes him into the pool. Just like little kids.”

While user @gprasadholla jokingly tweeted: “The dress code is also followed! See, No cotton shorts or vests!”

User @S_K_Raman tweet about humans taking over animals’ habitats: “Nature is so beautiful, reclaims even at smallest of opportunity. Wish we let them have more space.”

A day before the clip was posted, a similar video was shared by Bollywood actor and film producer Tisca Chopra on Instagram.

@tiscaofficial wrote: “#PoolParty Must’ve been watching and waiting for years, saw the opportunity and jumped right in... #monkeyingaround #everymonkeyhasitsday”

In the clip, as one monkey sits on the railing of a balcony, another can be seen having fun on the windowsill of a house. Suddenly it swings and then jumps into the swimming pool. Few other monkeys also join and enjoy a swim inside the pool.
