Democratic-backed Judge Susan Crawford was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court on Tuesday, US media reported, dealing a setback to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who had campaigned heavily for her opponent.

The vote -- the first electoral test for the Republican president -- won national attention after Tesla and SpaceX boss Musk poured millions into the campaign run by Crawford's Republican-backed rival.
