Freight train smashes into stricken lorry

The dramatic moment a freight train smashed through a lorry stuck on a crossing has been caught on camera.

Travelling at full speed, the train careers into the rear of the truck, completely destroying the trailer.

Just before the impact, what appears to be a police officer can be seen running away from the lorry because he knows the impact is inevitable.

The incident happened on a crossing in Atwater, California on Tuesday. No injuries were reported.
