Khartoum: Sudanese security forces arrested 2,496 protesters while dispersing anti-government demonstrations held on Saturday in the capital and some other towns and cities, Interior Minister Bushara Juma said on Monday.
He told parliament that six police vehicles were also destroyed in the state of Khartoum during the rallies against the government of long-time President Omar Al Bashir.
