Pakistani singer’s official anthem to build excitement for fans worldwide
Dubai: The countdown is on, and the soundtrack is set! With just 12 days to go until the Champions Trophy, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has turned up the excitement by dropping the official tournament anthem— Jeeto Baazi Khel Ke, performed by Pakistan’s iconic playback singer Atif Aslam.
Produced by Abdullah Siddiqui, with lyrics by Adnan Dhool and Asfandyar Asad, the anthem is set to fuel the buzz around the 15-match tournament, which runs from February 19 to March 9 in Pakistan and the UAE. Accompanied by a vibrant music video, the song captures the heartbeat of cricket, celebrating Pakistan’s diverse culture — from its bustling streets and colourful markets to the electric atmosphere of packed stadiums.
Reflecting on his involvement, lead singer Atif Aslam shared his personal connection to the game:
“I am very fond of cricket, and I always wanted to be a fast bowler. Having the passion and understanding of the game — I feel connected to the adrenalin of the crowd, their cheers, and the feeling of being a fan. I used to wait for matches, in particular the India versus Pakistan game, which was always full of emotions and sentimental value. And that is why I am very excited to have been a part of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 official song.”
Fans can enjoy the track and music video for Jeeto Baazi Khel Ke on popular streaming platforms worldwide.
The much-awaited match between India and Pakistan will be held in Dubai on February 23 and the tickets for the showpiece was sold out in just an hour, which underlines the importance of the contest between the two Asian powerhouses.
The thrilling two-week competition will see the world’s top eight teams put it all on the line in 15 intense matches across 19 days, with every match counting in the pursuit of the iconic white jackets.
