Museum with over 470 rare coins from significant eras throughout the Middle East's history
The Coins Museum, located in Dubai's Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, showcases over 470 rare coins spanning significant eras in Middle Eastern history, with the oldest dating back to the 7th century. Visitors can explore eight rooms filled with coins used in Dubai and discover connections between historical monetary systems, including those of the former British Empire and India.
Opened in 2004, the museum is housed in a traditional Arabian building made of coral, stone, and palm tree materials, offering a glimpse into the past. Interactive displays, magnifying screens, and touchscreens provide in-depth details about each coin's history, design, and significance
