DUBAI, 12th October, 2014 (WAM) -- The Trusted Security Manager (TSM) department of mGovernment, has showcased a series of practical demonstrations that can be accessed through the National Smart Wallet application on the opening day of GITEX Technology Week 2014.
The app was developed as part of the mGovernment initiative to enhance lives and progress the U.A.E. into a smart nation.
Under the theme of ‘a journey towards mGoverment’, the TSM team showcased the application’s capabilities of performing a series of tasks and financial transactions using solely a smart device.
A visitor to the U.A.E. can use the National Smart Application, which stores identity information, to access eGates in the nation’s airports, pay for public transport and at supermarkets, as well as gaining entry to reserved hotel rooms. The app reveal saw the support and involvement of Emirates ID, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), eDirham services and the U.A.E. Banks Federation (UBF).
