Chip, cameras, competitive pricing: Pixel 10 series aims to tackle flagship smartphones
Google is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated Pixel 10 series, including the flagship Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on August 20, 2025.
The event will be held at the Made by Google in New York City.
Pre-orders will open the same day; sales start on August 28.
With its advanced chip, upgraded cameras, and competitive pricing, the Pixel 10 series aims to challenge Samsung, Huawei, and Apple in the flagship market, leveraging Google’s AI prowess and sleek design.
The lineup includes four models:
Pixel 10
Pixel 10 Pro
Pixel 10 Pro XL
Pixel 10 Pro Fold
All new models are powered by Google’s new Tensor G5 chip. This marks a shift from Samsung’s Exynos-based chips to a fully in-house design manufactured by TSMC on a 3-nm process for enhanced performance and efficiency.
The base Pixel 10 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
It includes a triple rear camera setup — a first for the non-Pro model — with a 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 10.8MP 5x telephoto, alongside a 10.5MP selfie camera.
The device houses a 4,970mAh battery with 29W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging, and runs Android 16 with 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL offer 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch LTPO OLED displays, respectively, with 1.5K resolution, 16GB RAM, and a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP 5x telephoto camera setup, plus a 42MP front camera.
The Pixel Pro has a 4,870mAh battery (29W charging), while the Pro XL boasts a 5,200mAh battery (39W charging).
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold introduces a refined hinge, 6.4-inch cover display, and 5,015mAh battery.
New AI features like Pixel Sense and advanced video stabilisation enhance the user experience.
