Free registration for electronic signature service
Dubai: Companies can register for the 'electronic signature' service free of charge during the five days of Gitex.
The ministry of Labour is offering free registration of the electronic signature service as part of their participation in Gitex 2007. The usual registration fee is around Dh200.
Electronic signature is a new service that the ministry has introduced three weeks ago which makes sponsor's signature available electronically.
The signature of the sponsor is necessarily for all transactions with the ministry, therefore this service is expected to save time and reduce paper work at the ministry, according to studies conducted by the ministry.
Companies should submit an application to the ministry and after 48-hours the sponsor will be asked to visit the ministry to register his signature electronically.
The signature will be available on a chip which will include data on all the sponsor's establishments.
Whenever the signature is needed the only thing that the sponsor needs to do is to insert the chip and put his username and password and he will be able to sign the necessarily paper.
However this service will only be available through the smart form system, the system which is used in typing office to process the ministry transactions electronically.
While electronic signature is optional for already established companies, it is compulsory for all new registered establishments to register the sponsor's signature electronically.
