Emirates, Al Futtaim units sign tech deal

Dubai: Emirates Group’s EmQuest has signed a three-year deal to provide Sabre’s global distribution system (GDS) to travel agency Al Futtaim Travel.

Al Futtaim Travel will adopt Sabre’s GDS across its network of agencies in the United Arab Emirates, an Emirates statement said on Monday. The contract also includes EmQuest, a technology provider and Sabre distributor in the UAE, supplying “a range of advanced Sabre products” to Al Futtaim Travel’s corporate division, the statement said.
