SAP AG subsidiary in the Middle East, SAP Arabia has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Saudi Electricity Company to provide market-leading software and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions to run the electrical giant's day-to-day operations in the kingdom.

The implementation of SAP solutions to Saudi Electricity is a big achievement for the software solutions provider considering that Saudi Arabia has one of the highest per capita electricity consumption rates in the world. The SAP solution will augment the electricity network to support the kingdom's ambitious industrialisation plan.

As part of its ambitious regional growth plans, SAP Arabia has also unveiled key inroads including deals with ETA-Ascon, Gulf News, Emke Group, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, Adnoc, Dubai Festival City and other prominent establishments.

The $10.2 billion company has 84,000 installations in more than 24,450 companies worldwide with more than 80 per cent of the top global Fortune 100 companies using SAP software.

The company provides 26 specific industry solutions based on the best business practices developed with industry leaders.

According to IDC reports, SAP Arabia leads the Enterprise solutions market in the region with 37 per cent market share.
