Dubai: It’s something that will have techies in Dubai rejoicing: Apple is opening its biggest store yet in the UAE, complete with a viewing deck overlooking a world-renowned landmark and two floors of spacious display areas for the latest gadget offerings.
A source told Gulf News that the tech giant is about to unveil its mega retail store in Dubai Mall. The shop will enjoy one of the best locations in the mall and is believed to be the largest in the region, further cementing the brand's presence in the Middle East.
Set amidst an array of dining outlets, the new store will offer customers great views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest dancing fountain.
The date for the outlet's grand opening has yet to be revealed, but the barricade surrounding the two-level storefront has just been unveiled, giving mall visitors a hint of what's coming up.
With a concept titled ‘Creativity. Connected.’, the barricade is a mural wall that seeks to showcase the creative community in the UAE, including start-ups, independent art galleries and local app developers to boutiques, cafes and food trucks.
The new Apple store is expected to become the region's meeting point for the creative-minded people and a place of learning and inspiration. Visitors will be able to create, collaborate, and experience the best of Apple, all in one place.
The company had earlier opened a number of vacancies for jobseekers in the UAE, with roles ranging from store manager, inventory specialist to business manager.
The company marked its official foray into the Middle East market with the opening of two Apple stores in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall in 2015.
