Dubai’s latest attraction, the Laguna Waterpark at La Mer, is all set to make a splash in time for the summer when it opens on May 12.

The waterpark is divided into four zones — Splash, Slide, Surf and Relax — offering rides, a pool lounge, a swim-up juice bar and 11 cabanas.

The five rides include a central Water Slide Tower with a six-metre drop and a lazy river. However, a WaveOz 180 Florider for surfing is being pegged as the main attraction, working as a surf machine for those looking for a bit of thrills on the side.

“Everything about it is designed to be easy, and the fact that you’ll be able to play or relax at Laguna, as well as take advantage of the whole La Mer experience, means you can tailor a day out depending on your mood,” said Andrew Keeling, general manager of leisure & entertainment assets at Meraas, in a statement.

Entry to Laguna is priced at Dhs99 for residents and Dhs159 for non-residents, with unlimited re-entry. The waterpark will run from 10am to 8pm.
