Dubai: Scouts have named 68 players from this season’s du Football Champions (duFC) who have made it to the final du La Liga High Performance Centre line-up following a three-week trial.
Over 6,000 players took part in the nationwide duFC School and Streets Cup between November and April and that number has now been whittled down to the best 68, 34 each from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, across Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 age-groups, who will train with the HPC. Selected talent from the Under-16 and Under-18 categories will now travel to Spain in August to participate in an intensive three-week camp where they will play against Spanish youth sides in front of La Liga scouts. As well as announcing the 68 names, du La Liga HPC also announced it would expand to include an Under-12 category in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi next season.
