Dubai: Aggreko Dynamos, the cheerleading squad that has thrilled crowds at the Dubai Rugby Sevens year after year, have arrived in the emirate geared up to entertain spectators visiting the Rugby World Cup Sevens this coming weekend.
The team for the tournament is even bigger than before, with 12 girls making the trip from Melbourne to Dubai for the event which will take place from March 5 to 7.
Manager and choreographer of the Aggreko Dynamos, Amber Field, said: "There are 40 teams at the Rugby World Cup Sevens I hear and we have 12 cheerleaders, instead of eight so it should be very exciting.
"We're all really looking forward to it," "Our preparations have been really good.
"There's been a lot of acrobats in this group - six as opposed to only two when we were here in November. So I think the crowds can look forward to some really spectacular things on the field.
"It will be a bit different to what the crowds saw in November - more dynamic but they'll probably recognise some of the songs. We've gone with the best of the best this year so there are some anthems, and definitely some new moves and new girls, and new flips so it should be really exciting."
The Aggreko Dynamos will pay several visits to Dubai Mall where they will be giving spectators a sneak preview of what they can expect to see at The Sevens during the Rugby World Cup Sevens.
