Manny Pacquiao could fight Amir Khan in UAE after Floyd Mayweather

British boxer reveals talks are ongoing for a bout between the pair in Dubai or Abu Dhabi

In the event he wins the biggest fight of his career against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao could be heading to the UAE for his next fight.

British boxer Amir Khan has revealed talks are under way to promote a “dream” world title fight with Pacquiao in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Khan was a former sparring partner of Pacquiao when both boxers were trained by Freddie Roach.

British newspaper the Daily Mail quoted Khan as saying: “I want this fight. I would love to box Manny. We’ve been looking at an event in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is only a short drive away. It’s a dream of mine to fight in that part of the world.”

He added that late November or December this is year is a perfect time for the fight.

Khan, however, will first have to win his fight against Chris Algieri in New York on May 29.

Algieri was knocked down six times in a loss on points to Pacquiao on November 23 last year in Macau.

Pacquiao will fight Mayweather on May 2 in Las Vegas.
